This role involves QA software testing for WiFi-based Smart Home Solutions (SHS) applications or Embedded Software (SW) coded onto PCBs for various appliances. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical mindset, a passion for learning, and a "can-do" attitude—experience is welcome but not always necessary.
Pay Range: $26-38/hr; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Type: Long-term contract (possibility of conversion to fulltime)
Primary Responsibilities:
- Perform QA software testing for WiFi applications or embedded software used in appliances.
- Test smart home functions, such as using a smartphone to start or turn off appliances.
- Evaluate software code on platforms such as Python and Java.
- Working with embedded systems, test software embedded onto PCB-based control panels.
Qualifications & Key Skills:
- Experience with GitHub (active contributions and quality code are a plus).
- Hands-on experience or willingness to learn Python, Java, and Embedded Software testing.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a "can-do" attitude.
- Passion for continuous learning and staying up-to-date with technology.
