Akkodis is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer (Level II & Level III) for a large Aerospace client in Gainesville, TX area as this opportunitiy requires individuals to work fully onsite.
Salary Range: $78k - $84k (Level II) and $88k - $95k (Level III) ; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Quality Assurance Engineer responsibilities include:
- Assure shipment of product which meets the customer requirements - ship a product free of defects.
- Assure the product-process control according to the customer and company specifications.
- Define, monitor and evaluate the effectivity of quality plans and practices and maintain, follow up and control QRQC process.
- Collect, analyze and oversee data entry on relevant quality performance indicators, manage quality through quality data using quality tools such as Etq and QMS.
- Make qualitative decisions on part conformity with applicable Quality requirements.
- Document and follow-up internal and external corrective actions and verify its effectiveness.
- Lead/Co-Lead technical root cause and corrective action processes to resolve issues.
- Maintain the CA/PA system for internal, external quality issues as required.
- Work and support PQE's on the Customer concern regarding product quality issues, attend Customer Concern Review Board meetings as necessary or required.
- Ensure all CAPA analysis and actions are adequate to address the reported conditions.
- Perform FAI/PPAP when required.
- Support, elaborate and maintain PFMEA and Control plans to ensure failure-free products and continual improvement.
- Support creation and maintenance of Process Flow Diagram (PFD).
- Support Design Engineering on APQP related industrialization requirements.
- Perform Validation of new components, processes and tools as required.
- Generate, review, implement and maintain IMS documentation of quality department, work instructions, formats, etc.
- Review and approve technical and performance specifications, quality documents and instructions.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, or related technical field or 12 years equivalent related experience in lieu of degree.
- Industrial Bachelor's degree or 12 years of equivalent engineering.
- Level 2 - Requires 2 years' experience in aerospace industry or equivalent in engineering, or quality positions.
- Level 3 - Requires 5 additional years of related experience in a quality role.
- Intermediate experience in Implementation of Continuous Improvement.
- Intermediate knowledge/process of RCCA.
- Intermediate understanding of AS9100, APQP.
- Must be able to read and interpret average to complex blueprints, drawings, diagrams, tolerance information and procedure manuals.
