Rate Range : $80 / hour to $85 / hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Job Description :
We are seeking a Release Manager with expertise in automation and thought leadership to streamline release management. The ideal candidate will have experience with version control tools like GitHub and BitBucket, as well as automation tools like Mabl and Bamboo. You should be a change agent, driving continuous improvement, risk management, and process implementation. This role requires a strategic leader who can work collaboratively across teams and lead with a partnership mindset, not a "dictator" approach.
You will be instrumental in guiding the organization from BitBucket to GitHub, enhancing release processes, and leveraging automation to optimize the release pipeline. Jira and Confluence are must-have tools, and a solid understanding of Agile principles is crucial. This is a high-impact role where you will partner with development, QA, operations, and product teams to ensure smooth and timely releases.
Required Skills :
- Thought Leadership & SME Expertise : Proven ability to serve as a subject matter expert (SME) and thought leader in release management, particularly with automation strategies that streamline processes and drive efficiency.
- BitBucket to GitHub Migration : Hands-on experience managing the migration from BitBucket to GitHub, ensuring smooth transitions and adoption of new version control practices.
- Tools Proficiency : Extensive experience with Mabl, BitBucket, Bamboo, and GitHub in the context of release management and automation.
- Jira / Confluence : Advanced proficiency in Jira and Confluence for tracking and managing workflows, documentation, and project collaboration.
- Change Agent : Ability to be a change agent, driving process improvements, continuous optimization, and risk management across teams.
- Risk Management & Process Implementation : Strong background in risk management and process implementation, ensuring releases are managed effectively with minimal disruption.
- Continuous Improvement : Experience leading initiatives for continuous improvement, optimizing release cycles and overall team performance.
- Collaborative Leadership : A strategic leader who fosters a partnership approach rather than a “dictator” mentality, driving releases and delivery through collaboration and alignment with business goals.
