Job Title: R&D Designer Engineer - Corvallis, OR
Contract Duration: 24 months
Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled R&D Designer Engineer to join our team in Corvallis, OR. As an R&D Designer Engineer, you will work closely with our design engineers to manage project CAD and parts within our product data management (PDM) system. This includes collaborating with client teams and suppliers to ensure CAD/parts are maintained and accessible to the latest/current revision.
Main Responsibilities
- Manage R&D projects in Windchill, our PDM system (checking models and drawings out and in for suppliers, checking-in supplier designed models and drawings into the PDM).
- Assist engineers by putting items in the Windchill system.
- Assist engineers by updating CAD models and drawings.
- Assist engineers by getting changes through the change management system.
- Assist engineers by getting part numbers for new parts.
- Assist engineers by ordering, shipping, receiving, and tracking parts.
- Assist engineers by classifying standard parts in Windchill (fasteners, fittings, etc.) to enable attribute searches and parts reuse.
Requirements
- A.A./A.S. degree in Business or Technical area or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
- Experience working in a fast-paced R&D environment with continuous changes.
- Experience working with CAD, BOMs, and other design documentation.
- Computer skills in basic programs (MS Office, Excel, Word, etc.).
- Ability to learn and work in new CAD software as needed.
- Highly organized and with attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate to various levels of engineering and management.
- Excellent time management.
- Creative problem-solving skills.
Desired Skills & Knowledge
- BASIC knowledge of Creo Elements Direct, SolidWorks, and/or AutoCAD software.
- BASIC knowledge of Windchill PDM system.
