Job Title: Electrical Design Engineer
Position Overview:
Under the direction of the Electrical Engineering Manager, the Electrical Design Engineer will contribute technical expertise to the development of new automotive sensor and actuation products. This role includes electrical design responsibilities from concept through production launch, as well as ongoing support for legacy products currently in production. The ideal candidate will be hands-on, collaborative, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a dynamic engineering environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and design electronic circuits for automotive sensor and actuation systems.
- Create schematics and printed circuit board (PCB) layouts using electronic computer-aided design (ECAD) tools, including circuit simulation.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external customers to support both new product introductions and existing product lines.
- Ensure assigned projects are completed in alignment with departmental goals and timelines.
- Contribute to all phases of product lifecycle support within the automotive division.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Strong background in designing analog, digital, and power electronics, with a track record of completing at least three design projects in a professional setting.
- Proficiency in ECAD software for schematic and PCB layout; experience with Altium Designer is preferred.
- Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel; familiarity with MathWorks tools for data analysis is a plus.
- Understanding of embedded systems, including both hardware and software control, within the automotive or a related industry.
- Knowledge of automotive product development processes is essential.
- Experience or familiarity with ISO 26262 Functional Safety standards is advantageous.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field.
- Minimum of five years of experience in electrical design engineering.
- Prior experience in the automotive industry is strongly preferred.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. Sponsorship may be available for the right candidate.
Salary : $100,000 - $120,000
