Akkodis is looking for a talented individual to fill the role of a System Test Engineer/HIL Test Engineer.
This long-term contract opportunity is based in Allen Park, MI, and requires 100% onsite work. The ideal candidate will have experience in automotive software development or validation, as well as expertise in software testing or quality assurance methodologies.
The selected candidate will support product development and system integration processes by developing test methods for automated execution, implementing tests using Hardware in the Loop equipment, and documenting and reviewing execution reports.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing expertise in software test design and having advanced knowledge in vehicle functional partitioning, electrical and communication architectures, Ford's embedded software processes, and the Global Product Development System.
- Collaborating closely with feature owners, engineering, and suppliers to develop a strong understanding of vehicle functions and implement appropriate test design strategies for early identification of defects and to provide evidence of defect elimination.
- Analyzing requirements, vehicle components electrical schematics, functional specifications, and FMEA documentation.
- Designing, maintaining, and executing test procedures in alignment with test design guidelines and strategy.
