Akkodis is seeking a Sr. Software Engineering Manager with a Carrollton TX base client to join their team. This is a contract role at the Salary range of $130-140 / yr.

Key Responsibilities :
Team Leadership & Management :
- Lead and mentor a talented team of software engineers, overseeing their
- day-to-day activities and career development.
- Provide regular feedback, guidance, and performance assessments for the
- development team.
Coding Standards and Processes :
Establishing and enforcing coding standards and best practices across the team,
including implementing processes to ensure code quality, such as code review
protocols, style guidelines, and automated linting procedures.
Architecture & Design :
Steer architectural decisions for software systems, ensuring that designs are
scalable, extensible, performant, and meet the needs of the business and users.
Collaborate with other teams to align technical solutions with product
requirements.
Software Development & Maintenance :
Write and maintain well-documented, high-quality code in languages such asmodern C / C , Python, and C#.Design and implement high-performance systems, desktop applications, backendcloud systems, and low-level interfaces, with a focus on concurrency, low latency,and resource optimization.Process Improvement & Tooling :Implement and maintain automated build systems and scripts, working with CI / CDtools such as CMake, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, etc.Oversee the design and implementation of unit, integration, and functional tests toensure software quality, maintainability, and extensibility.Collaborative Problem Solving :Work closely with product teams to understand end-user needs and translatethem into technical solutions.Propose and implement improvements to software functionality, including UIrendering, client-server communication, concurrency / parallelism, andperformance optimization.Qualifications :
3-5 years of Senior Level Software Engineering Experience, especially in high performancesoftware systems1-3 years of Engineering Management ExperienceBachelor’s Degree in Software Engineering or related fieldsExperience in modern C / C , especially relating to cross-platform applications,multithreading, drivers, and API / SDK designAbility to work autonomously and drive team priorities while balancing technical andbusiness objectives.Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate technicalconcepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.Proven ability to assess, mentor, and oversee the professional growth of softwareengineers.Experience with unit, integration, and functional test design and implementationExperience with build systems and CI / CD tools such as CMake, Github Actions, Jenkins, etcAbility to analyze and optimize code to meet strict performance requirementsDrive to proactively identify opportunities for improvement in our systems and proposesolutionsNice to Have :
