Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Survey Crew Chief to lead field survey operations in Springfield, MO. The ideal candidate will oversee survey teams, ensure accurate data collection, and maintain high standards of safety and professionalism. Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate survey crew activities, ensuring efficient and accurate data collection.
• Operate and maintain survey equipment, including GPS, total stations, and data collectors.
• Perform boundary, topographic, construction, and other types of surveys.
• Interpret and implement survey project plans, specifications, and requirements.
• Ensure the quality and accuracy of survey data through field checks and adjustments.
• Prepare and submit daily field reports and documentation.
• Communicate effectively with clients, engineers, contractors, and project managers.
• Train and mentor junior survey crew members as needed.
• Comply with safety standards and company policies during all survey activities.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field is a plus.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a survey field crew, with at least 1 year as a Crew Chief.
• Proficiency with modern survey equipment and software, such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or Trimble Business Center.
• Strong understanding of survey principles, methods, and techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret plans, maps, and legal descriptions.
• Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
• Valid driver's license and the ability to travel to project sites as needed.
