What are the responsibilities and job description for the Test Engineer position at Akkodis?
Akkodis is seeking a 2nd Shift - LATO Test Engineer for a Long term Contract (19-20 Months) job with a client in Lynn MA 01905 (Onsite). We’re ideally looking for applicants to have a background in aircraft/engine maintenance in domain, Knowledge on New Product Introduction (NPI) programs would be a plus.
Pay Range: $40-$45/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
2nd Shift: Monday-Friday 2PM to 11PM will be the standard hours with OT expected as needed on weekends and on third shift (11PM to 7AM)
Role Summary/Purpose:
A LATO Test Engineer will be part of a dynamic team that is focused on leading development test efforts on New Product Introduction (NPI) programs. This individual will be directly responsible for leading a team to execute development test activities within the test cells.
Essential Responsibilities:
Primary focus on NPI test programs, with some possibility of working legacy programs as well
Learn complex test facility operations while gaining overall engine system level knowledge
Utilize leadership skills in project management type setting, overseeing day-to-day operations for engine setup, test, and teardown
Learn how to troubleshoot issues with engine operation, instrumentation, and test facilities
Develops integrated, appropriately phased and scoped program and resource plan across multi-disciplined team to deliver validated products that meet technical, cost, and schedule requirements. Manages execution through technical communication, proactive reviews, problem resolution, and risk abatement.
Education Requirements: Bachelor of Science in Engineering
# of Years of Experience: 2/ Entry Level Will work.
Hardware/Software Knowledge: MS Office Suite products; to include Word, Excel, Project, and Outlook
