Test Technician

Akkodis is looking for candidates to fill a Test Technician role based in Fort Collins, CO (80528) for a contract duration of 5 months. Ideal candidates should have hands-on experience in testing and troubleshooting hardware, along with a strong familiarity with Linux/Unix operating systems.

Pay Range: $25/hr - $28/hr. On W2 (The pay rate may be negotiable based on Experience, Education, Geographic location and other factors)

Knowledge & Skill Requirements:

• Previous hardware experience and understanding of infrastructure and test methods
• Proven ability to communicate quality concerns with peers, supervisors, and engineering support
• 1 year minimum experience with Linux and Windows Server Operating System required or equivalent.
• Knowledge of network transfers, pre-boot execution environment, and TCP/IP required.
• Experience in network switch configuration, firmware upgrades, subnet masking, is required.
• Knowledge of image deployment is required.
• Knowledge of VMware is preferred.
• Knowledge of virtualization is preferred.
• Unix/Linux experience required.
• Understand failure modes of products and test processes as well as system block diagrams is preferred.
• Must have Microsoft office experience (word, excel, outlook).
• Analytical problem solving and decision making skills required.
• Candidate should be detail oriented & demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills to articulate technical trends and concerns.
• Proven ability to communicate quality concerns with peers & demonstrated conflict management and interpersonal communication skills.
• Must be able to successfully identify basic purpose of server & rack components In general, this is considered an advanced position where the resource Uses ability as a skilled specialist to contribute to the development of new concepts/techniques and to complete assignments/tasks in innovative and effective ways.
• Expert knowledge on the general/technical aspects of the job.
• Minimum requirement of a technical associates degree in Electronics, Computer Networking, Computer Engineering/Tech; or relevant work experience.
