Summary: As a Dangerous Goods Compliance Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and compliant handling, storage, and transportation of hazardous materials for global products. This position focuses on regulatory compliance, risk management, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with local, federal, and international regulations for the transportation and storage of dangerous goods.
- Conduct risk assessments, develop mitigation strategies, and implement safety protocols for hazardous materials.
- Develop and deliver comprehensive training programs on the latest regulations and safety practices for employees handling dangerous goods.
- Provide operational support by guiding classification, packaging, labeling, and transportation processes.
- Drive continuous improvement by identifying process enhancement opportunities and conducting compliance audits and inspections.
Requirements:
- In-depth knowledge of dangerous goods regulations (DOT, IATA, IMDG, OSHA, etc.).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Proficient in preparing and reviewing regulatory documentation.
Industry Experience:
- Certification in dangerous goods handling and transportation (IATA, DOT certifications).
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Chemistry, Logistics, or a related field.
- A minimum of 3-5 years experience in dangerous goods management, with a preference for global or multi-regional experience.
