Job Summary :
We are seeking a Senior Engineer with 5 years of experience in automotive closures hardware and mechanisms, including but not limited to Side Door Window regulators, Handles, Latches, and Charge Port mechanisms. The ideal candidate will lead the design and development process from concept to production, ensuring high quality, efficient integration, and innovative solutions. This role requires close collaboration with internal teams, external suppliers, and cross-functional partners to achieve world-class designs optimizing performance, size, weight, durability, and cost.
Key Responsibilities :
- Design and develop automotive closures components and assemblies, emphasizing charge port mechanisms.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external suppliers to integrate systems efficiently and creatively.
- Guide the evolution of designs through CAE analysis results interpretation and collaboration with manufacturing teams to ensure process efficiency and quality.
- Create testing plans, conduct physical tests, and perform detailed analysis to meet performance targets and understand design competitiveness.
- Coordinate with suppliers, manage project timelines, and ensure the application of GD&T tolerances.
