Job Summary :
We are seeking two highly skilled Supplier Sourcing Engineers for our Newark, CA location to join our dynamic team immediately, for a project spanning approximately 15 weeks at a competitive hourly rate. The ideal candidate will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to source and manage suppliers, ensuring the production of high-quality parts in line with Lucid's expectations and timelines. This role involves extensive negotiation, supplier assessment, and management of engineering changes, requiring travel 15-25% of the time to conduct business and program reviews with suppliers.
Key Responsibilities :
- Collaborate with various teams to identify and source qualified suppliers, create and analyze RFQs, and negotiate favorable contracts.
- Manage supplier development, part availability for prototypes, and production, including addressing delays and problems.
- Maintain supplier relationships, act as point of contact for commercial issues and report on sourcing status, parts availability, and cost.
- Perform supplier assessments, audits, and site inspections; develop and drive implementation of process improvement plans.
- Travel to supplier sites for business reviews and program oversight.
