Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Account Manager to join our team at AKRE & Associates. As an Account Manager, you will be responsible for spearheading bookings and engaging with customers and prospects worldwide.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical sales background, a consultative approach, and the ability to leverage our engineering expertise to create impactful proposals.
Main Responsibilities:
- Implement consultative selling techniques to build strong relationships with prospects and customers.
- Work closely with the CEO and engineering team to qualify new leads through discovery calls and in-depth assessments.
- Focus on high-priority accounts with projected revenues exceeding $1M over five years.
- Collaborate with internal teams to create tailored quotes and compelling proposals that align with customer needs and budgets.
- Manage our global network of sales consultants, representatives, and distributors to maximize reach and effectiveness.
- Verify purchase orders, send confirmations, and maintain strong customer relationships throughout the order lifecycle.
- Develop and present quarterly sales forecasts that align with company objectives and operational capabilities.
- Lead sales review meetings and support marketing initiatives, including prospecting campaigns and promotional efforts.
- Attend trade shows and visit customers, with travel expected to be less than 33% of your time.
Requirements:
- An associate degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
- At least 3 years in inside sales, sales administration, or a similar role, preferably in a technical context.
- A strong understanding of mechatronic systems and experience in B2B sales, specifically for OEM orders.
- Familiarity with Salesforce and SyteLine is preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities, with strong interpersonal skills.
- The ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize effectively, and adapt to changing circumstances.
