Warehouse Organizing Specialist
The Warehouse Organizing Specialist carries out all aspects of organizing the warehouse, cooler and freezer to ensure efficient and safe warehouse operations. Candidate must have a passion for high level accuracy when it comes to inventory controls. This position safeguards and promotes the Foodbank’s commitment to food safety and requires a high degree of integrity, service, excellence and urgency in all related matters. This position is responsible for all product movement within racking, replenishments for daily Network Partner orders, dropping of pallets located in racking or bulk storage areas, cycle counts, auditing and physical inventory preparation. Other duties include staging / storage of received product in compliance with all food safety standards set forth by Feeding America, United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) and American Institute of Baking (AIB). Further responsibilities include pallet tagging, and picking of Direct Distributions, Drop Sites, OFP loads Outside Carrier pickups, and Network Partner deliveries. Shift: M-F, 6am-2pm. Rate $21 per hour
Job Responsibilities:
- Complete all required paperwork in a legible manner for consistency, accuracy, and auditing purposes. Utilizes barcoding and scanner system properly with focus on proper receiving and storing of products. Completes job with a great amount of diligence and accuracy.
- Prepare the warehouse for incoming loads by re-organizing racking, bulk storage, cooler, or freezer for the product placement upon receipt on the dock.
- Compare identifying information and counts, weights or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records and have a high level of inventory management and controls.
- Proper operation of powered equipment including, but not limited to lift truck or hand trucks, to convey, move, or hoist materials to proper departments or areas.
- Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition by following prescribed safety regulations.
- Perform other duties, as needed. Perform daily housekeeping duties as assigned. Ability to be flexible and work with or in other departments when needed.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum high school diploma
- 1-3 years of warehouse experience required. Experience with order selection, shipping/receiving, material handling, and food safety desired.
- Must be able to follow all American Institute of Baking, Feeding America, Food and Drug Administration, United States Department of Agriculture, Occupational Safety Hazard Administration, Department of Transportation (DOT) and Foodbank (standard operating procedures and employee handbook) safety regulations.

- Must be able to operate or be trained to operate a pallet jack, tow motor, and high reach tow motor; must pass OSHA testing for lift truck operation.
- Punctual, dependable, and flexible to work overtime, as needed.
- Ability to maintain accurate records or metrics.
