Job Description AKS Service Technician (Road/Shop)

Reports to Service Manager

Position Level Staff

Summary The Service Technician will perform maintenance, repairs, installation, replacements, sales and customer service as assigned or dispatched.

Supervision of Others

As directed by Sales Manager.

Duties

1 Performs all tasks in accordance with, or above, code and industry standards.

2 Inspects, identifies, opens, and/or repairs or replaces hardware requiring service or repair.

3 Performs maintenance on security related hardware.

4 Ensures schedule (and follow up), parts ordered, invoicing and billing are correct and current.

5 Accountable for the secure handling of tools, parts, files, records, and hardware.

6 Cleans and assists with upkeep of company facilities, equipment, and rigs.

7 Assists SM/OM with part identification, pricing, ordering, and inventory levels.

8 Performs other duties as assigned.

Skills

Ability to follow instructions from supervisors or senior technicians.

Ability to learn and solve technical problems and issues.

Knowledge of general carpentry and repair, and use of hand tools and specialized equipment.

Knowledge of Microsoft Office and ability to learn other software.

Skillset in interpersonal and customer service.

Skillset in organizational and time management skills.

Physical Requirements

Physically fit for prolonged working periods: sitting, standing, walking, carrying, and climbing.

Physically able to work from ladders, bend, or crawl into awkward or confined spaces.

Physically able to lift up to 70 pounds at a time.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
