The Medical Manager position at Akua Behavioral Health offers an exciting opportunity for a motivated and experienced nurse to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of Incidental Medical Services (IMS), including coordination with healthcare providers, ordering and storage of medical supplies, observation of patient care, and accurate documentation in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented individual who has a strong background in nursing and experience working in behavioral healthcare. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and leadership skills and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee IMS programs and ensure adherence to relevant policies and standards
- Conduct regular audits of EMR documentation to maintain regulatory compliance
- Lead activities related to Infection Control and other company policies
- Provide training to clinical staff on IMS procedures and documentation
- Assist with day-to-day facility operations
Requirements:
- Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) licensure required
- 1 year(s) of nursing experience and 1 year(s) of behavioral healthcare experience preferred
- High school diploma or GED required, bachelor's degree preferred
