Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Event Coordinator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for event management and a proven track record in planning and executing successful events. This role requires strong communication skills, creativity, and the ability to work under pressure while ensuring that all aspects of the event run smoothly. The Event Coordinator will be responsible for managing various types of events, including corporate functions, weddings, and fundraisers, ensuring exceptional guest experiences.
Responsibilities
- Plan and coordinate all aspects of events from conception to execution, including logistics, venue selection, catering, and entertainment.
- Develop and manage event budgets, contracts, and timelines to ensure all projects are completed on schedule.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their vision and requirements for each event.
- Coordinate with vendors such as hotels, caterers, decorators, and audio-visual teams to ensure seamless execution.
- Oversee on-site event management including setup, coordination during the event, and breakdown afterwards.
- Provide exceptional guest services by addressing any issues or concerns promptly during events.
- Implement upselling strategies to maximize revenue opportunities for events.
- Conduct post-event evaluations to assess success and gather feedback for future improvements.
Requirements
- Proven experience in events management or event planning within the hospitality industry is preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal; ability to interact professionally with clients and vendors.
- Experience in fundraising events is a plus.
- Knowledge of banquet operations and guest services is highly desirable.
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends as required by event schedules.
- A proactive approach with problem-solving skills; able to think quickly on your feet in high-pressure situations.

Pay: $22.77 - $24.38 per hour
