Summary:
The Multimedia Producer manages all aspects of pre- and post-production on 360 social videos, 360 original docs and interactive VR/AR experiences. The Producer will be pitching ideas, and producing stories from start to finish.
You will also work with freelancers to provide training and direction for videos Contrast commissions along with organizing and updating workflows. The content this team creates is specifically designed for the headset (Oculus, Samsung and HTC) as well as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and other emerging digital platforms.

Key Responsibilities:
- Screen external pitches and conceive of story ideas to be shot by freelance video journalists or staff for content that can be used to engage with digital audiences across our platforms
- Assign stories as directed by manager
- Edit social videos and 360 short docs as well as content for social platforms
- Write scripts, blogs and social media copy to be used across various social networks for the assigned stories
- Fact-check scripts
- Conceive, pitch, and potentially execute story ideas
- Meet deadlines as assigned
- Carry out duties in line with Contrast’s editorial guidelines and ethics
- Ensure that Contrast content is consistent with guidelines and goals
- Promote their stories on social media
- Assist with field production as needed
Key Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years track record in journalism with increasing responsibility
- Experience in journalism, social media and video production
- Strong interest and experience in how technology shapes storytelling
Salary : $57,200 - $72,500
