Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Accountant with 3-5 years of experience to join our growing HVAC company. The ideal candidate will be proficient in QuickBooks and have hands-on experience managing general ledger, journal entries, accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), banking, payments, and payroll. This role may also involve supervising one or more accounting staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain the general ledger, ensuring accuracy in all financial transactions.
- Process journal entries and reconcile accounts. * Oversee accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) functions, including invoicing, collections, and vendor payments.
- Handle bank reconciliations and ensure timely processing of payments. * Process payroll and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Generate financial reports and assist with month-end and year-end closings.
- Assist in budget preparation and financial forecasting.
- Work closely with management to improve financial processes and efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies.
- Supervise and support accounting team members as needed.
Qualifications & Skills:
- 3-5 years of accounting experience, preferably in the HVAC, construction, or service industry.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks (required).
- Strong understanding of general ledger, journal entries, AP/AR, banking, and payroll.
- Experience with financial reporting and reconciliations.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and supervisory skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field or a combination of experience and education.

Pay: $62,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
