Upstream Manufacturing Associate – Biologics Production at Commercial Scale

An innovative biologics manufacturer with a brand-new, state-of-the-art facility in New Jersy is seeking experienced Upstream Manufacturing Associates to join their growing team. With substantial funding, FDA approvals, and a growing pipeline, this is an exciting opportunity to work at commercial scale in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
What You’ll Do:
- Support end-to-end drug substance and drug product manufacturing, including buffer/media prep, cell culture, and upstream processing.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with downstream, QC, and engineering teams to ensure seamless batch execution and documentation.
- Execute batch records, monitor critical process parameters, and ensure adherence to SOPs and cGMP guidelines.
- Assist in tech transfer and scale-up activities as the site ramps from clinical to full commercial production.
- Troubleshoot and escalate equipment or process deviations to ensure consistent product quality.
- Contribute to a continuous improvement mindset across process, safety, and compliance initiatives.
What We’re Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree in biology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, or related field (Associate level roles may consider relevant experience in lieu of degree).
- 1–5 years of hands-on experience in upstream biologics manufacturing (experience with 200L–2000L bioreactors preferred).
- Solid understanding of cGMP practices and aseptic techniques.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced environment that is transitioning from clinical to commercial scale.
- Strong documentation and communication skills.
