This internship provides hands-on experience in financial auditing, internal controls, and regulatory compliance within the fuel distribution industry.
Location : Chicago, IL (In-Person)
Duration : Summer 2025 (Full-Time, 10-12 weeks)
Who We're Looking For : Junior-level students going into their senior year in Fall 2025
Responsibilities
- Assist in conducting internal audits to ensure compliance with company policies and financial regulations
- Review financial statements, transactions, and expense reports for accuracy
- Support the accounts payable and receivable audit process
- Help prepare audit documentation and financial reports for management review
- Identify and suggest improvements to financial controls and procedures
- Assist with month-end and quarter-end close processes
- Ensure compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and other financial regulations
- Maintain confidentiality and accuracy in handling financial data
