We are seeking a Testing Technician (Entry-Level) to help test and maintain our autonomous vehicles and robotic equipment. In this hands-on role, you will work on-site in Scottsbluff, Nebraska, performing assembly, wiring, and testing of autonomous vehicles, as well as operating them in real-world test scenarios. No prior industry experience is required – if you’re a quick learner with a technical or mechanical mindset, we will provide full training. This is a full-time position (40-50 hours/week, overtime available) with a competitive pay range of $19.00-$25.00 per hour, offering a unique opportunity to work with state-of-the-art autonomous systems and grow your career in a fast-paced environment.

  • Education & Attitude: High school diploma or GED required. A technical certification or college coursework is a bonus. Must be a quick learner and self-starter with a strong interest in automotive or electrical technology.
  • Technical Skills: Basic experience or familiarity with hand tools and electrical tools. Soldering, crimping, cable assembly, automotive wiring, and electrical testing skills are highly desirable. If you’ve tinkered with car electronics or built DIY tech projects, you’ll fit right in.
  • Computer Literacy: Comfortable using computers for tasks like equipment diagnostics or data entry. Ability to learn new software tools for vehicle testing and data collection.
  • Problem-Solving: Excellent troubleshooting skills and attention to detail – able to maintain focus and carefully follow procedures for extended periods while testing. A logical approach to solving technical problems and the patience to iterate through solutions are important.
  • Communication: Good verbal and written communication skills. You’ll need to clearly report issues and collaborate with engineers and fellow technicians, so being a team player is key.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to work on and around vehicles, including use of basic power tools, crouching/stooping, and lifting up to ~50 lbs as needed.
  • License & Travel: Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is required. You must be insurable and comfortable driving test vehicles. Clean criminal background (ability to pass a background check) is also required for this role.
  • Work Ethic: Punctual, dependable, and flexible. Willingness to start early in the morning and work long days when tests or deadlines require it. Overtime hours are available, and a can-do attitude toward meeting project goals is essential. Safety-minded individuals who take pride in doing things right will excel in this position.
  • Hands-On Experience: Get direct experience with cutting-edge autonomous vehicles and robotics – you’ll be working with the latest sensors, AI-driven systems, and prototype machines in the autonomous industry. This isn’t a desk job; you’ll be in the garage and in the field making real contributions from day one.
  • Training & Development: No prior autonomous vehicle experience? No problem. We provide on-the-job training with our experienced engineers and technicians. You’ll learn specialized skills in autonomous systems, and we’ll support your growth every step of the way.
  • Career Growth: The autonomous vehicle field is rapidly growing, and skilled technicians are in high demand. Joining us now means you’ll have significant room for advancement as our team expands – whether you develop into a lead technician, field test engineer, or other advanced roles.
