American Leadership Academy - Lexington is accepting applications for Special Education Clerk for the 2024-2025 academic school year. Candidates must be willing to undergo a background check.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Maintain and organize confidential records, including Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), 504s, assessment reports, and related documentation.
- Schedule and coordinate meetings for IEP/504 reviews, parent-teacher conferences, and other special education-related events.
- Serve as a liaison between special education staff and parents, ensuring timely and accurate information exchange.
- Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local special education regulations and procedures, and assist in preparing for audits and reviews.
- Provide general administrative support to the special education department, including data entry, file management, and preparation of reports.
- Assist in the preparation and distribution of student records and reports as needed for evaluations and assessments.
- Work closely with teachers, administrators, and support staff to facilitate the implementation of special education services and support student needs.
- Implement small group testing; schedule and coordinate small group testing with teachers Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

- Familiarity with special education laws, regulations, and procedure
