What are the responsibilities and job description for the Electrical CAD Designer position at ALAANT?
We are seeking an Electrical AutoCAD Drafter to join our team at ALAANT. As an Electrical AutoCAD Drafter, you will play a crucial role in delivering dependable, timely, and professional support to our project managers.
Your responsibilities will involve developing and maintaining accurate project drawings and files, a key factor in ensuring success during field installation. You will work cross-functionally in a team environment to plan, prioritize, and organize the diverse workload.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide AutoCAD drafting support to the preconstruction department for all design/build projects.
- Collaborate with the Foreman/Project Managers to update as-built/record drawings utilizing CAD software.
- Create data points for field layout using the Trimble Field Link software for the Robotic Total Stations layout tool.
- Manage Project files & Client FTP sites (ex. Procore).
- Assist the operations department with administrative tasks as needed.
Requirements:
- Associate degree in construction management, electrical engineering, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the electrical/construction industry.
- Must be able to work independently and in a team environment.
- Experience using electrical engineering software is preferred.
- Experience in Revit & AutoCAD required.
- Knowledge of 3D Modeling (BIM).
