Alaant Workforce Solutions is proud to be partnered with The Family Counseling Center, a top Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) in the capital region!
We are looking for a Medical Director to supervise and lead clinical medical services, ensuring exceptional care and compliance with medical standards and regulations.
Hours and Benefits for the Medical Director:
- Salary: $250,000 - $350,000 per year
- On-site Monday – Friday (On call nights or weekends NOT required!)
- PTO and paid Holidays

Responsibilities for the Medical Director:
- Develop and implement trauma-informed strategies and plans for the Psychiatric program, aligned with Agency standards to enhance client care and foster Agency growth
- Design and lead in-service training programs for staff to promote professional development and skill enhancement
- Provide on-site or telehealth coverage as needed, offering consultation, prescribing, dispensing, and responding to emergency situations
- Ensure the program adheres to all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations
Requirements for the Medical Director:
- 5 years experience in a behavioral health setting
- Licensed by the State Board of Medical Examiners to practice medicine in NYS
- Maintain proper credentialing for NYS OP, NYS licensure, DEA, NPI and other required entities
- Board Certified internal or family medicine with one or more of the following: certification by;
- the American Society of Addiction Medicine
- boarded by the American Board of Addiction Medicine and/or
- board certification in Psychiatry
