Summary:
This is professional accounting work of a routine nature. Supervision is received from the collections manager.
Examples of Duties
- Assists in the collection of all university charges, fines and damage.
- Process checks returned by bank.
- Assists in the preparation and distribution of invoices and statements.
- Reviews reports and invoices received from collection agencies and billing companies.
- Identifies and analyzes AR accounts.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Typical Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree in business, accounting or related field.
- Two (2) years of professional level experience in accounting or auditing work.
Supplemental Information
- Considerable knowledge of collections and billing systems.
- Considerable knowledge of computer based accounting systems.
- Considerable knowledge of due diligence procedures.
- Considerable knowledge of applicable state and federal regulations and procedures.
- Ability to communicate effectively with faculty, staff and students.
