The Department of Biological Sciences is seeking adjuncts in the following areas :
Examples of Duties
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Maintain a prominent level of competence and expertise in the teaching content area and ensure an effective learning experience.
Utilize the university's learning management systems, as necessary.
Perform additional instructor responsibilities to include but not limited to communication with students, responding to e-mails in a timely manner, be available for virtual office hours and attend all classes as scheduled.
Submit your course syllabus to the Department Chairperson prior to the start of the term
Provide effective assessments and evaluation of student learning experiences.
Keep students informed of their progress with timely feedback and posting of grades in the university's learning management system
Encourage and cultivate a positive and diverse learning environment for learning populations.
Retain and submit documentation as requested to the Department Chairperson
Typical Qualifications
Minimum requirements include a master's degree with 18 graduate semester hours in the teaching discipline from a regionally accredited institution.
Supplemental Information
SALARY : To be determined per the university's set guidelines for Adjunct Instructors.
This position is not eligible for benefits.
