Summary :
The Department of Management, Marketing, and Logistics in the College of Business and Public Affairs at Alabama Agricultural and Mechanical University (AAMU), an AACSB-accredited institution, invites applications for an Assistant Professor of Management Information Systems (MIS) position. Rank and tenure-status of the position is negotiable based on qualifications.
The anticipated start date is 08 / 2025.
The successful candidate will demonstrate excellence in teaching, research, and service. We are seeking a scholar with strong research potential and a passion for preparing students in emerging areas of MIS, business analytics, and cybersecurity.
Examples of Duties
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Conduct independent, high-impact research in MIS, with the potential for publications in top-tier journals (e.g., FT50).
Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in MIS, with potential assignments including business analytics, cybersecurity, and other MIS-related topics.
Develop and revise course content to align with current trends in technology and business.
Effectively use Blackboard or other learning management systems to support course delivery.
Participate in service activities at the departmental, college, and university levels.

Required :
Demonstrated excellence in teaching at the undergraduate or graduate level.
