What are the responsibilities and job description for the Social Worker position at Alabama Baptist State Board of Missions?
The Social Worker position will be responsible for the delivery of case management services to children and families in our Foster Care program. This position will recruit, license, train, and supervise foster homes; coordinate intake, orientation, and admission of children/families into assigned program; assess information about children’s developmental/family history; develop and implement a Case Plan for every child; evaluate progress of children/families in care and foster families; manage transfers and discharge processes; represent the ABCH & FM’s vision, mission to groups, individuals, and referring agencies in a professional and objective manner; teach TIPS classes as required; and more.
Applicants much have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Social Work from a college or university accredited by the Council on Social Work Education.
Applicants must be license eligible or have a current license to practice Social Work issued by the Alabama State Board of Social Work Examiners.
Applicants must also have a valid driver’s license, and safe driving record.
