Job Overview
We’re looking for a full-time Worship Pastor who is called to ministry. Our ideal candidate is a man who is passionate about Jesus, who will provide spiritual leadership, and whose desire is to lead Sunday worship with authenticity and enthusiasm. Seminary education is preferred.
Currently, this role involves leading worship with a mix of contemporary and traditional music styles, directing the choir, and assisting with the livestream and audio/visual setup. You will lead worship and equip volunteers, and as our church grows, you’ll develop a praise team, worship band, and children’s choir.
Key Responsibilities
Lead worship on Sunday mornings
Develop and disciple the worship team
Oversee mid-week rehearsals and prepare setlists
Understand the audio, video, and live stream systems
Coordinate closely with the Lead Pastor to plan and execute services that point us to Jesus
Maintain equipment, stage setup, and tech systems
Cultivate a lifestyle of worship
Have fun! As a team we like to laugh and we are looking for someone who enjoys what they do and the people they do it with.
Qualifications
Spirit-led worshiper with a heart to serve the local church
Proficient in vocals and ideally one lead instrument (guitar or keys preferred)
Strong relational and leadership skills
Self-motivated, organized, and a good communicator
Committed to the mission, vision, and values of First Baptist Church Silverhill and the Southern Baptist Convention
