E SSENTIAL D UTIES AND R ESPONSIBILITIES
- Assists with the general supervision of students both inside and outside the classroom during instruction, lunch, recess, special activities, etc. for the purpose of enforcing appropriate rules and procedures in accordance with district policies, maintaining clear standards of student behavior, and achieving an orderly, functional environment conducive to
- Works directly with students on an individual or group basis as assigned and directed by the assigned teacher in order to administer lesson plans, provide instructional assistance, and reinforce mastery of developmental
- Participates in the development and planning of effective lesson plans, instructional activities, and class assignments for students under the direction of the assigned teacher or
- Prepares, secures, and arranges materials, equipment, and resources needed for instructional use, assembles current displays and bulletin boards, and assists in maintaining a clean and organized learning environment.
- Assists students with personal hygiene needs and teaches proper related routines and habits, as appropriate.
- Assists in the planning and scheduling of class field trips and other approved educational activities as necessary to support curriculum and guides students in opportunities to best utilize and apply learning experiences.

QU ALIFICATIONS
An Associate's degree (or higher) OR two years of full-time study at an institution of higher education OR passing test scores in the areas of reading, writing, and mathematics on the WorkKeys assessment. Experience working with children in an educational setting preferred.
P HYSICAL R EQUIREMENTS
Exerts 20-50 pounds of force occasionally, 10-25 pounds of force frequently, and / or up to 10 pounds of force constantly.
T ERMS OF E MPLOYMENT
Nine month year. Salary as recommended by the Superintendent and approved by the Board.
