• Range 76 ($50,253.60 - $84,280.80 Annually)
• Salary will be commensurate with experience. Limitations apply to current State employees. BENEFITS

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• Master’s degree in nutrition, dietetics, or a closely related field.
• 12 months or more experience in nutritional services. OR
• Bachelor’s degree in nutrition, dietetics, or a closely related field.
• 24 months or more experience in nutritional services. NECESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
• Must be registered or eligible for registration by the Commission on Registration of the American Dietetic Association. If registered or eligible by or before December 31, 2023, a Bachelor’s degree is required. If registered or eligible on or after January 1, 2024, a Master’s degree is required. KIND OF WORK
• Completes assessments of individuals to determine the level of nutritional risk, based on medical history, dietary history, and physical assessment.
• Assesses the nutritional status of all life stages using biochemical indices, physical assessment, etc.

• Develops, organizes, and conducts in-service education for the Nutritional Services department.
• Orients new employees to food service issues and concerns using appropriate policies and procedures.
• Actively participates in the facility Nutritional Services department performance improvement program.
• Monitors meal service operations as needed.
• Completes reassessments for individuals according to the individual's plan of action.
• Communicates with individuals, facility staff, leadership, etc. so that appropriate information is disseminated as needed.
• Assumes responsibilities of the Director in his/her absence. REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
• Knowledge of menu planning and methods of food preparation.
• Knowledge of the Joint Commission and Medicare/Medicaid Standards.
• Knowledge of personal and food sanitation principles.
• Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize work activities.
• Ability to keep accurate records and prepare reports.
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally, in writing, and electronically.
• Ability to provide training and technical assistance.
• Ability to establish and maintain working relationships with individuals and facility staff.
• Ability to supervise the work of others.
