• Range ($226,096.80 - $344,033.52 annually)
• Salary will be commensurate with experience. Limitations apply to current State employees. BENEFITS

• Graduation from an accredited school of medicine and successful completion of a residency program in psychiatry as approved by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and recognized by the American Medical Association or the American Osteopathic Association.
• Must be Board–eligible in Psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

• Writes and composes documents such as patient evaluations, treatment plans, progress notes and discharge summaries.
• Writes prescriptions for clients and patients based on APA and court-ordered guidelines, providing detailed instructions on the medication's name, dosage, frequency, and route of administration.
• Attends meetings, conferences, and workshops.
• Facilitates the exchange of information with staff, personnel, and other state facilities. REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
• Knowledge of mental conditions, including psychosis and behavioral disorders.
• Knowledge of pharmacology and psychopharmacology, particularly in relation to anti- psychotics and psychotropics.
• Knowledge of treatment strategies.
• Knowledge of psychological principles applied to the development and implementation of treatment programs and client care plans.
• Ability to perform clinical assessments, interpret verbal and non-verbal responses, gather clinical data, and diagnose illnesses.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing. METHOD OF SELECTION
