What are the responsibilities and job description for the Staff Nurse position at Alabama Department of Public Health?

The Staff Nurse provides direct nursing services in all public health clinic programs, including assessing individuals' health status, developing and implementing a plan of care, and documenting so that quality patient care is provided in compliance with all applicable protocols and prescribed standards with no more than five audit exceptions and/or direct observation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited* four-year college or university in Nursing.
- Alabama Professional Nursing License as issued by the Alabama Board of Nursing.
OR
- Associate’s degree from an accredited* college or university in Nursing or diploma in Nursing.
- Two years of professional nursing experience.
