What are the responsibilities and job description for the Loan Documentation Specialist (Closing) position at Alabama Farm Credit FLCA?
JOB PURPOSE AND SCOPE
Responsible for the post-approval through booking process of new loan originations. This position requires strong attention to detail and organization and effective communication. This includes but is not limited to the following:
- Ensuring that all pre-closing due diligence is collected and accurate.
- Prepares, reviews, and manages loan documents, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Submitting due diligence to record retention repository.
- Reviews and validates organizational documents.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Highschool Diploma
- 0 – 2 years professional experience and/or 1 – 2 years related experience
ADDITIONAL KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Serves as a partner to all members of the loan origination process
- Preparation of closing documents
- Ability to manage loan pipeline
- Closed within compliance of legal, regulatory, and internal policies
- Maintaining organized files
- Booking of loan once closed
- Perfection of non-real estate collateral Communication with key stakeholders, including external partners
SKILL REQUIREMENTS
- Performs work under direct supervision.
- Beginning subject matter knowledge.
- Beginning knowledge of title commitments/policies and underwriting standards related to title examination.
- Beginning knowledge of entity documentation.
- Beginning knowledge of association bylaws, policies, and procedures.
- Beginning knowledge of financial systems.
- Beginning knowledge of credit terminology.
- Basic oral and written communication skills.
- Basic skills in Microsoft Office applications.
- Advanced organizational skills.
