The right candidate for this job will have a passion working with children ranging from ages six (6) weeks to five (5) years old and staff to ensure a seamless partnership with AIDB and New Adventures Learning Center.
- Must possess a high school diploma or GED.
- Twelve months of experience working in a licensed child care center.
- Child Development Associate (CDA) credential or a Certified Child Care Professional (CCP) certificate from the National Child Care Association Inc. (NCCA).
- Associates Degree from an accredited college or university.
- Two (2) years or more experience working in a child care setting.
- Sign language proficiency level of Survival Plus or higher according to the AIDB evaluation system upon hire
- Provide support to AIDB and New Adventures Learning Center.
- Provide assistance to AIDB and New Adventures Learning Center in preparation, analysis and monitoring of all New Adventures Learning Center operations.
- Develop and maintain project tracking systems showing staff roles and responsibilities, due dates and deadlines, and other details as required.
- Help ensure the smooth daily operation of New Adventures Learning Center by providing instructional support, ratio coverage, and assisting with overall operations of the center as requested.
- Support New Adventures with registration and enrollment process.
- Assist with the hiring and training process for child care personnel.
- Assist with the operation of equipment, including but not limited to copy machines, computers, technology devices, etc.
- Maintain a visible presence to staff, students and families.
- Maintain a maintenance report for CEPO
- Maintain copy room equipment and supplies
- Maintain, create, report, and distribute records according to established AIDB procedures.
- Must possess excellent organizational skills, ability to complete complex tasks and be highly self-motivated.
- Must have demonstrated experience in handling extremely confidential documents and information.
- Ability to handle sensitive or restricted information in a professional and confidential manner.
- Must be flexible in dealing with work assignments and unexpected interruptions.
- Must have professional work experience that demonstrates diligence in detail, accuracy of work, high level of integrity, and confidentiality.
- Must demonstrate ability to take initiative, anticipate problems, follow through and meet established deadlines.
- Strong written and communication skills.
- Obtain Infant-Child (Pediatric) Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certification (CPR) and First Aid certification within six months of hire date.
- Upon offer of employment, the applicant must submit to a fingerprint background check at an agency designated and paid by AIDB.
- Perform other duties as assigned
Salary : $18 - $23
