The Operations Clerk will play a vital role in the lives of our staff and of those we serve. This position is key to the daily workflow of the operations department and therefore, will require proper attendance, attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, the ability to multi-task, and the ability to function in the role without constant supervision. The Operations Clerk must work effectively and communicate with groups and individuals of all ages in a blind, deaf, and multi-disabled community of individuals.

You will support our 24-hour campus operations department, which includes our security, transportation, and facility maintenance programs, to name a few.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Must possess a minimum of a high school diploma or GED.
- Must have a minimum of two (2) years of verifiable successful clerical, office, accounting, and/or bookkeeping experience.
- Must have experience with payroll and/or accounting functions.
- Must be able to think analytically, have an attention to detail, and adapt well to change.
- Must be able to utilize a computer efficiently to include: word processing, email distribution, and other office functions.
- Must have experience and be comfortable utilizing Google and MS Office Suites.
- Must have experience creating spreadsheets and managing large amounts of data.
- Must have strong communication skills and work collaboratively with others.
- Must be able to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Must possess excellent organizational skills.
- Must have a high level of integrity and be able to handle sensitive or restricted information in a professional and confidential manner.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule as required to meet the needs of the campus.
- Must be available in an emergency and/or crisis situation.
- Must have the ability to communicate effectively and professionally both orally and in writing with individuals who may have sensory and non-sensory impairments to include students, co-workers, consumers, and vendors at all levels of the organization.
- Must have the ability and willingness to be a team player and to work as part of a team to accomplish our common goal.
- Minimum three (3) years of verifiable successful clerical, office, accounting, and/or bookkeeping experience in an operations department setting.
- Experience working with individuals who are Deaf, Blind, or DeafBlind
- Familiarity with any or all of the following: AOD, NextGen, Harris School Solutions, Networkfleet, Blackboard ParentLink, LenelS2 Solutions, Alertus, nSide School Safety Platform, and/or Work order systems.
- Proven and verifiable experience providing support in a school setting to the operations department to include areas of security, transportation, and facility maintenance.
- Familiarity with AIDB policy and procedures, and general work practices.
- Provide clerical, accounting, and office administration support to the operations department.
- Examine documents for completeness, accuracy, and conformance to standards.
- Review department payroll for accuracy and submit for approval.
- Receive and process requests for vehicle/bus reservations.
- Assist with the community transportation program.
- Prepare and review reports for vehicle fuel and maintenance services.
- Enter and process data into Blackboard ParentLink.
- Process vehicle registration requests.
- Process campus access and assist with access control programming.
- Process department requisitions and maintain purchase orders.
- Maintain department calendars and staff schedules.
- Answer the telephone and route calls to the appropriate person.
- Respond to emails, phone calls, and requests placed to the department.
- Prepare correspondence and/or reports to include financials, inventory, and compliance
- Assist in the preparation and processing of travel requests, reservations, reimbursements, and other related paperwork and reports.
- Monitor security cameras to help maintain a safe work and school environment for our employees, students, consumers, vendors, visitors, and guests.
- Maintain and keep department files up to date.
- Work closely with and fill in for the AIDB-N Administrative Assistant III as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or designee in support of department programs and campus needs.
- A minimum sign language proficiency level of SURVIVAL is required according to the AIDB evaluation system and must be obtained within the first twelve (12) months of employment.
- Upon offer of employment, the applicant must submit to a fingerprint background check at an agency designated and paid by AIDB.
Salary : $18 - $23
