The Talladega Regional Center provides a continuum of services to individuals from infancy through adulthood. The Case Management Aide is an integral part of the Talladega Regional Center team by assisting with the development, expansion, and provision of unique programs and services for individuals who are Deaf, Blind, and/or DeafBlind. This role provides direct services in a variety of areas including money management, case management, supportive housing, transportation, and other Regional Center programs and services.
A primary responsibility will be assisting with the Consumer Money Management Program by helping consumers manage their personal finances, like writing checks, paying bills, and keeping track of cash, income, or benefits. The service also includes training to help others acquire, retain, or improve those skills. The ideal candidate is one who is self-motivated, possesses good organization skills, attentive to details, and excels while working in a fast-paced team environment.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
· Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.
· Experience in bookkeeping, accounting, cash handling, and/or reconciling financial records.
· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, and Google G-Suite including Calendar, Sheets, Docs, and Drive.
· Valid Alabama Drivers License and be able to be insured by AIDB insurance carrier.
· Able to stoop, bend, and lift twenty-five (25) pounds.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
· Assist the Social Worker with money management for consumers that involves budget planning, bill payments, shopping, and recordkeeping such as and writing checks, receipts, making/reconciling bank deposits, and completing financial reports.
· Assist with the case managers as needed as directed by the Director
· Work flexible hours but may also include early mornings, late afternoons, holidays, nights, and weekends.
· Must have a post-work record that demonstrates a high level of integrity and confidentiality.
· Must be flexible in dealing with work assignments and unexpected interruptions.
· Must demonstrate pleasant telephone and interpersonal communication skills
· Must be mature, self-motivated, and possess good organizational skills
· Transport Regional Center staff and/or consumers to meetings or appointments to provide administrative and technical assistance as needed.
· Complete Deaf and Blind sensitivity training within the first thirty (30) days of employment.
· Achieve a sign language proficiency level of within the first twelve (12) months, and within the first thirty-six (36) months of employment.
· Demonstrate competency in reading and writing Braille by scoring 80% or better on AIDB Braille Skills Assessment Inventory within the first thirty (30) months of employment.
· Assist in planning and participate in all regional center activities, educational workshops, social/community events, and/or statewide programs.
· Enter current consumer information into the database as needed for consumer demographics (ECM).
· Other duties as assigned by the Regional Director.
· Upon being offered employment, the applicant must submit to a fingerprint background check at an agency designated and paid by AIDB."

$15.69- $18.30 Scale C5 Rank 32 60 Semester Hours
Semester hours must be in related field to receive credit
260 Days; Direct deposit is required; bi-monthly payroll
This is a non-exempt position and is subject to overtime and/or compensatory time provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act
