Description
The Staff Accountant performs professional accounting duties in support of the Credit Union.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepares, examines, and analyzes accounting records, financial statements, or other reports to assess accuracy,
completeness, and adherence to reporting standards
- Reviews and verifies journal entries
- Develops, implements, and maintains record keeping and accounting systems
- Develops and manages budgets
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance and one to three years of accounting experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Exhibit ability to provide excellent Member service
Preferred Qualifications:
-Maintained financials for small business and is comfortable with multiple owners, draws, and Quickbooks
- Certified Public Accountant
- Experience in non-profit accounting
