Description
The Teller Supervisor / Financial Services Officer I will cultivate and develop relationships in an effort to provide service that is meaningful and relevant to the individual member. This position I will open accounts, resolve issues, and will provide information and guidance to members on the products and services offered by Alabama ONE. Under general guidance, this position will also consult with members regarding their consumer lending needs, and will analyze loan requests and make credit decisions based on established consumer lending guidelines.
Responsibilities
- Receives and processes member financial transactions including deposits, withdrawals, and loan payments. Sells money orders and other negotiable instruments to members. Transfers amounts from member accounts as directed.
- Posts transactions to member accounts and maintains member records.
- Daily opens and closes his / her computer terminal accounts for assigned cash and transactions and balances to the terminal teller / close report. Assists members with financial needs including opening and closing accounts, transferring funds, issuing debit cards, and resolving issues. Conducts teller transactions when necessary.
- Accuracy in cash counting, and transaction processing and posting. Ensures cash drawer is in balance, within assigned limits and is always kept secure on a daily basis.
- Under general guidance, confers with members and provides recommendations and information related to lending needs. Conducts initial review of loan requests and provides appropriate information to underwriters for review. Communicates lending decisions with members.
- Supports branch member retention and relationship development through regular contact with existing and potential members. Through contact with members, will develop sales leads and cross-sell additional products and services.
- Serves as a source of information on membership requirements, services, and rights. Maintains a thorough, working knowledge of Alabama ONE products and services.
- Ensures appropriate records are maintained and required reports are prepared.
- Performs Teller Supervisor and other job related duties as assigned.
Requirements
Must be an effective and proactive communicator and should exhibit a positive, professional demeanor. Must be able to learn and maintain a thorough knowledge of Alabama ONE products and services including consumer loans and procedures related to new account sales. The ideal candidate will be an engaged TEAMmate and will be willing to assist where needed in the branch. This position requires a High school diploma or GED and at least one year of similar or relevant experience.
