Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant - FT - Clinical - Orthopaedic
Location: Mobile, AL, 36608
We are a high-volume practice in Mobile, Alabama, seeking to grow our team with a highly skilled Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant. The successful candidate will work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care in general orthopaedic setting and meet the requirements listed. - Provides and manages direct patient care, including assessments, physical examinations, evaluations, diagnoses, and treatment.
- Assist the physician in evaluation and management of assigned patients on the medical inpatient service.
- Orders and interprets diagnostic tests, including but not limited to MRIs, CTs and laboratory tests with direct medical oversight.
- Patients on alternate care status will require only weekly summaries to include condition, treatment, and discharge planning
- Develops patient management plans, reviews progress notes, and assists in provision of continuity of care.
- Prescribe medications and treatment regimens that are appropriate and relevant to medical condition.
- Work closely and communicate test results with patients when needed.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives
- Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician's Assistant program.
- Current Alabama State License
- Patient-centered, highly motivated, team oriented, and strong communicator w/ interpersonal skills
- Safe, balanced, and patient focused approach to managing patient clinics on daily basis
- Current DEA/DEA eligible in the state of Alabama
- Certification from a national certifying body (ANCC, AANP, NCCPA, etc.) preferred
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skill
- Multilingual a plus.
