Key Responsibilities:
- Product Selection and Procurement: Identify and source products that reflect Alabama Outdoors' brand and meet customer needs. Negotiate buying terms with vendors, including price, margin, and delivery terms.
- Vendor Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors.
- Inventory Management: Oversee order placement and delivery to ensure optimal inventory levels across all stores. Track purchases and monitor vendor performance.
- Market Analysis: Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify growth opportunities. Stay updated on industry trends to make informed purchasing decisions.
- Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Work closely with the merchandising and sales teams to align product offerings with customer preferences and sales strategies.
- Bachelor's degree in Business or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in product buying or procurement.
- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
- Excellent analytical abilities with a keen eye for market trends.
- Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
