Are you an experienced Collections Specialist with a strong background in medical billing and insurance claims? Join our team at Alabama Pain Physicians and help ensure our practice maintains financial stability while providing excellent patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contact patients regarding outstanding balances and set up payment plans as needed
- Follow up on unpaid insurance claims and work with insurance providers to resolve denials
- Process payments and maintain accurate financial records
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and healthcare billing regulations
- Work closely with the billing department and front desk staff to streamline collections processes
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in medical collections, billing, or accounts receivable preferred
- Knowledge of insurance claims, denials, and payment posting
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Experience with medical billing software
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality
