As a Machinist Trainee, you will receive on-the-job training to become proficient in operating various machinery used in steel manufacturing. You will work alongside experienced machinists and production staff to produce steel products that meet industry standards and customer specifications. Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the setup, operation, and maintenance of CNC machines, lathes, mills, and other machining equipment used in steel production.
- Follow safety protocols and quality standards to ensure the production of high-quality steel products.
- Monitor and inspect machine operations and product output, making adjustments as necessary.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production targets and deadlines.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED (technical training or vocational education is a plus).
- Strong interest in learning machining and steel manufacturing processes.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Basic math skills (including measurements, fractions, and decimals).
- Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
- Ability to follow instructions and safety procedures.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience in manufacturing or a related field is a plus but not required.
