Job Summary
Alabama Psychiatry and Counseling is seeking a licensed Clinical Psychologist to assess, diagnose, and treat a diverse range of mental health concerns in our Alabama-based practice.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in evidence-based therapeutic modalities and a genuine passion for helping adults and children achieve their full potential. As a Clinical Psychologist, you will be responsible for conducting in-person psychological assessments, providing psychotherapy, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to develop comprehensive treatment plans. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the development of innovative programs and initiatives aimed at improving mental health outcomes for our patients.
In this role a successful candidate will:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments to evaluate clients' cognitive, emotional, and behavioral functioning.
- Develop personalized treatment plans based on assessment findings, clinical expertise, and best practices in the field.
- Provide individual, group, and family therapy using evidence-based therapeutic modalities, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT).
- Collaborate with psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated and holistic care for clients.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical documentation in accordance with legal and ethical standards.
- Monitor clients' progress throughout the course of treatment and adjust interventions as needed to promote positive outcomes.
- Participate in ongoing professional development activities to stay abreast of advancements in the field of clinical psychology.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of quality improvement initiatives to enhance the delivery of mental health services.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- In person role
- Doctoral degree (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) in Clinical Psychology from an accredited institution.
- Current licensure as a Clinical Psychologist in the state of Alabama.
- Demonstrated expertise in conducting psychological assessments and delivering evidence-based psychotherapy.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to establish rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate complex psychological concepts in an accessible manner.
- Commitment to ethical practice and adherence to professional standards of conduct.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Experience working with individuals across the lifespan, from children to older adults, is preferred.
