What are the responsibilities and job description for the Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner position at ALABAMA REGIONAL MEDICAL SERVICES?
Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner to provide high-quality medical care and treatment to our patients under the supervision of an OB/GYN. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in women’s health and must be able to obtain hospital privileges.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct physical examinations and preventive health assessments within established guidelines.
- Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to identify and assess patients’ clinical conditions.
- Perform various laboratory tests as needed.
- Document physical findings and create appropriate care plans and prognoses.
- Develop and manage comprehensive patient care plans.
- Submit health care plans and patient goals for review and evaluation by the supervising physician.
- Recommend treatments including medications, physical therapy, or other therapeutic procedures.
- Provide counseling and patient education on topics such as substance abuse, disease prevention, and healthy lifestyles.
- Participate in the ARMS Quality Improvement Plan.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Education & Experience:
- Master’s Degree or higher from an accredited Nursing program.
- 2–4 years of clinical experience, preferably in women’s health
Certifications & Licenses (Required):
- Certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP)
- Women’s Health Care Nurse Practitioner Certification (NCC)
- Certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC)
