What are the responsibilities and job description for the Grounds Maintenance/Custodian position at Alabama Safari Park?
The Safari Park needs a new groundskeeper! The groundskeeper keeps the park looking presentable for our guests. This involves daily picking up trash, emptying trash receptacles, blowing dirt and leaves off of sidewalks and decks, cleaning hand rails, signs, etc. In addition, the beautification of the lawn and landscape will fall under your purview. Expect to operate a zero turn and weedeater for about 16 hours/week. Opportunities for growth are available and encouraged. Job Requirements:
-Willing to undergo background check
-Able to lift 60 lbs or more
-Clean cut appearance, no large tattoos.
- Valid driver license
-Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions, rain or shine, extreme heat and cold.
-Available weekends and holidays.
This position starts at $13/hr, with performance based increases at 90 days and 1 year. PTO and insurance benefits are available to full time employees. Other benefits include: discounts in the gift shop, and free admission to the safari for you and your immediate family!
