What are the responsibilities and job description for the BUS DRIVER FOR MID-DAY ROUTES position at Alabama State Department of Education?
Job Title: Bus Driver for Mid-day Routes
Reports to: Transportation Director
Work Days: 182 Days - Approximately 4-6 Hours per day
Salary Schedule: As per Board salary schedule
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Duties/Responsibilities
Safely transport students between campuses and facilities on schedule as determined by Anniston City Schools Administration. This will primarily be transporting students during the school day.
Assist in fueling and stationing of buses.
Assist in the troubleshooting of minor bus issues, such as cranking, jumpstarting, etc.
Follow all policies and procedures of the Anniston City Board of Education, Transportation Department, and the assigned school(s).
The bus schedule will vary but is expected to be 8:00am-10:00am AND 1:30pm-4:30pm
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED
Valid CDL driver's License with a Passenger Endorsement
Record of Sound Moral Character
Good Attendance and Work Record
Strong Interpersonal Skills
Must be willing to follow Anniston City School Board Policy
