Job Description
Alabama State University, Academic Affairs, College of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics invites applications for fill the position of Postdoctoral Associate. The successful candidate will conduct research and train students in solid-state chemistry research. This is a 2-year grand funded position.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Instruct, train and assist with mentoring undergraduate students in chemistry
- Establish research productivity leading to timely peer-reviewed publications in journals
- Troubleshoot issues in the laboratory that may hinder satisfactory progress
Minimum Qualifications
An earned Ph.D. in chemistry, material science, engineering or other relevant discipline and be proficient in solid-state chemistry processes and posses working knowledge of x-ray diffraction techniques. Experience with Rietveld Analysis is a plus.
